Christine Kerrigan, M.A., BCBA
Director, Head Teacher
Christine is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and head teacher at KBS Academy, a private school for students with autism that specializes in delivering trauma assumed, compassion-based ABA services to students and their families. Christine received her undergraduate degree in Elementary and Special Education from East Stroudsburg University in 2008. She has been teaching students in special education for 17 years, with over 11 years focusing on autistic support and behavioral programs. In 2021 she received her Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis with a Certificate in Autism from Ball State University. Christine has been studying Skill Based Treatment for two years through FTF and has her level 4 certification in SBT. Christine is passionate about delivering trauma assumed, values-based ABA services to her students and clients at KBS Academy. She believes in assent based care and is dedicated to collaborating with others to make meaningful change and enhancements in the field of ABA. When Christine is not working with her students, she is spending time with her husband and three amazing children, her father, seven siblings and their spouses, and her incredible nieces and nephews.

Gabrielle Griffin,
Licensed Behavior Specialist
Gabby is a licensed Behavior Specialist with extensive experience supporting children across diverse settings, including home, educational, clinical, and community environments. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania in 2020 and went on to complete her Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis at Ball State University in 2023. Over the past six years, Gabby has dedicated her career to making a positive impact on children’s lives through her expertise in behavioral interventions and skill-based treatment.
Gabby has completed advanced consultations with FTF Behavioral Consulting and is certified at Level 4 in Skill-Based Treatment (SBT). Known for her collaborative approach, Gabby works closely with teachers, parents, and external providers to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated effort toward her clients’ goals. Her commitment to fostering a supportive network around each child enables her clients to achieve meaningful and lasting progress.

Sarah Berry,
Autism Support Teacher
Sarah is our K-3rd Grade Autistic Support Teacher. She graduated from LCCC in 2020 with her associate's in Early Childhood Education and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. In 2022, she graduated from Bloomsburg University with her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has experience working as a Behavioral Health Technician and this is her second-year teaching at KBS Academy. She has a passion for fostering a teaching environment where her students can physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially grow. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, yoga and quality time with loved ones.
Autism Support Teacher
Sarah is our K-3rd Grade Autistic Support Teacher. She graduated from LCCC in 2020 with her associate's in Early Childhood Education and a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. Michael Brown, M.Ed.
Alternative Placement Teacher
Michael is one of the Academy’s Alternative Placement Teachers and this is his first year at KBS! Michael graduated from Wilkes University in 2020 with his bachelor’s degree in Elementary & Early Childhood Education and Special Education. He recently graduated from Delaware Valley University (May 2024) with his master’s degree in Educational Leadership. Michael is currently continuing his education through Ball State University in Applied Behavior Analysis in hopes of becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. Although this is his first year at KBS, Michael is entering his fifth year of teaching. He was previously a K-2 Autistic Support Teacher (3 years) and a 4th Grade Regular Education Teacher (1 year) for one of the local public school districts. Michael knew his heart always belonged to the field of special education and decided to join our staff because he saw the potential and passion demonstrated by each staff member, ensuring success for students in all forms. In his spare time, Michael enjoys traveling, coaching wrestling, fitness, and making unforgettable memories with loved ones.
Alternative Placement Teacher
