Skill Based Treatment:
SBT is a trauma-assumed approach designed to build foundational skills for safe and productive engagement in daily life. SBT focuses on teaching the essential life skills of functional communication, tolerance, cooperation, endurance, and perseverance while working on language development, social skills, independent activities, self-help, leisure and academic skills. SBT establishes a safe and supportive environment, adapts interventions to individual needs, implements differential reinforcement schedules, encourages repeated practice, and builds a trusting relationship between staff and child while prioritizing safety. |
